Youth-led Proposal Writing Workshop: Sunday January 28th, 10am - 4pm
@ SPRING on University, Conference room, 5743 University Ave
Cost: FREE, must register

GPI Atlantic is hosting a Youth-led Proposal Writing Workshop. Do you have
an idea for a project that you’ve always wanted to do? Would you like to
learn how to develop a plan for that project, research and select potential
funders, and prepare and submit a funding proposal? Then this workshop is
for you! Workshop participants will learn all of these skills, and will go
through a mini proposal writing process with the support and feedback of an
experienced proposal writer (there will be one for every 5 participants).
Participants are encouraged to bring and share their own project ideas and
work toward those goals at the workshop.

The workshop will be delivered by:

Clare Levin: Managing Director for GPI Atlantic. She has written and given
feedback on many proposals, and in the last year has successfully raised
$105,000 for a number of different projects.

Myriam Hammami: Education Program Coordinator for the Sierra Club of Canada
- Atlantic Chapter. She has fundraised for the past two years making the
programs highly successful and available to 6000 students in Atlantic
Canada. She has 2 years previous experience writing proposals for other
non-profit groups and projects.

Saskia Tait: Researcher, project manager and dedicated volunteer in the
field of international and community-based development for the past several
years. She has been successful in applying her interest in creating healthy
communities, economies and ecologies to program development and fundraising
activities. Her training, experience and skills in writing and project
management have helped her to raise a significant amount of money for
various development projects and events in Canada, Europe and South Asia.
