Become a lead volunteer with Oxfam!

Are you concerned about social justice and environmental issues? Do you want
to learn more about the work of Oxfam Canada nationally, internationally,
and right here in the Maritimes? Are you interested in taking on a
leadership role with Oxfam, learning new skills, and meeting new people?
Then consider joining the Oxfam Maritimes Regional Steering Committee!

The Regional Steering Committee (RSC) meets regularly (every 4-6 weeks)
throughout the year, and plays a key role in working with and recruiting
volunteers, helping to coordinate Oxfam actions and programming across the
region, and giving important feedback from members and volunteers into staff
and Board decision-making at Oxfam.

The RSC is also responsible for planning the annual Regional Assembly, held
every fall. The Regional Assembly is a great event that brings together
Oxfam Canada members from across the region to hear speakers, learn new
skills, take action, and have fun! We are currently recruiting new RSC
members to help with planning the Regional Assembly taking place in Halifax
this fall.

If this is something that interests you, let us know! We encourage RSC
members from all 3 Maritime Provinces (you can attend meetings by phone).
Please note that in order to sit on the RSC, you must be a member of Oxfam
Canada. Becoming a member is free and easy. For more information or to
become a member, please see
