YOU ARE INVITED to a press conference hosted by the Commission on the Future of
Agriculture and
Agri-food in Prince Edward Island. The Commission will be releasing the State of Agriculture Report and discussing
the
process for engaging individual farmers, agriculture and agri-food
organizations, and the general public in establishing a future vision
for
agriculture in Prince Edward Island.

The Commission on the Future of Agriculture and Agri-food on
P.E.I., comprised of twelve farm, retail and community leaders, and
Co-Chaired
by Rory Francis and Dr. Ed Tyrchniewicz, was convened to articulate a
vision
for agriculture and agri-food in PEI and recommend steps to implement
and
achieve the vision. 

The Commission presents an opportunity for
stakeholders in the agriculture and agri-food industry to become
involved in
defining a new direction for the agriculture and agrifood sector in PEI.
