MAYORAL CANDIDATES' FORUM ON
ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 10-11:30 am, Studio A of Dalhousie's Tupper Building

Environmental sustainability is a prerequisite for a vibrant and
prosperous community. Mayoral candidates have had several opportunities
to publicly address economic issues. It’s time to give environmental
issues centre stage.

Issues likely to be addressed include:

· Public transit throughout the municipality

· Sustainable community development

· Responsible land-use planning

· Energy efficiency

· Emission reductions

· Air and water quality

· Pesticide use

· Environmental racism

· and more

The forum will be hosted by Rick Howe, and will be open to the public.
All three candidates have agreed to participate.
An open-mic question-and-answer segment will follow a series of prepared
questions.

For further details, please contact Jen Powley at (902) 429-0924.
