*How will You React to the Changing World of Energy?*

In rural Nova Scotia, agricultural producers, small businesses, citizens,
and municipalities are all feeling the crunch when it comes to rising energy
costs. Conservation and renewable energy production are being hailed as the
key to sustaining rural businesses and communities, yet questions still
abound regarding the new "green economy":

*Who is leading the charge when it comes to building "greener" communities?
*
*How can conservation and emerging renewable energy technologies help
businesses save money?*
* How can communities and local businesses take advantage of new market
opportunities? *
*What funding resources are available to help conserve energy or make the
transition to alternate forms of energy?*

These are just some of the issues that will be explored at *REACT 2008 – the
Rural Energy Action Conference and Trade Show*, taking place at the *Port
Hawkesbury Civic Centre on November 7th and 8th, 2008. *

Hosted by the Inverness Victoria Federation of Agriculture, the conference
is an exciting opportunity to hear from people who are in the forefront of
advancing new energy ideas. The event is also a way to get ready to make
change, in your business, at home, and in your community!

Who should attend the conference and trade show?

*Small business owners and farm producers* * *Students and educators*
* *Interested
citizens, not-for-profits, and community service organizations *Municipal,
provincial and federal representatives* * *Community Economic Development
Professionals* **Renewable Energy Companies, Energy Consultants, and Retail
Businesses*
