Position Title: Pesticide Inspector (Late June/early July -September),
posting closes June 30th at 4:30pm

 

Location: Halifax Regional Municipality

informing, enabling, and inspiring Nova Scotians to respect and consider
the environment in all their choices. 

 

Position Summary:

*        Conduct pesticide inspections

*        Conduct Green Yards assessments

*        Educate the public on sustainable landscaping practices

*        Provide phone assistance as necessary

*        Assist with other duties as required

Required Skills:

*        Undergraduate student or recent graduate in Biology  

*        Experience with sustainable landscaping or gardening 

*        Knowledge of the HRM pesticide bylaw an asset

*        Ability to work outdoors in hot weather

*        Access to a vehicle is a must
