1) Facilitator (Strategic Planning), Nova Scotia Environmental Network,
vol/honorarium

[as posted to PlanetVolunteer http://PlanetVolunteer.net ]

VOLUNTEER / HONORARIUM OPPORTUNITY

Position: Facilitator with Experience in Strategic Planning

Organization: Nova Scotia Environmental Network http://www.nsen.ca

Location: Nova Scotia

We are looking for a facilitator with experience in

strategic planning to help with the development of a 3-year

strategic plan for the Nova Scotia Environmental Network

(NSEN). The NSEN is a provincial, non-partisan umbrella

organization. Its current mission is to connect

environmental and health organizations together to conserve

and enhance our natural environment and achieve a

sustainable future for Nova Scotia. For more information,

please see: http://www.nsen.ca.

The NSEN is building momentum in the province and greatly

increased its profile and membership in the last few years.

However, we need to work together to develop a coherent plan

for how the organization will grow to meet the needs of Nova

Scotia's environmental community. The NSEN board is planning

to hold a strategic planning session on Sunday, May 24 and

we need the help of an experienced facilitator to do

pre-planning preparation and facilitate the session itself.

We are looking for a volunteer, but a small honorarium may

be available for qualified candidates. Because we are seeking

a fresh perspective, I am strongly encouraging people from

outside the environmental community to consider assisting us.

Please contact Gretchen Fitzgerald at 902-444-3113 or

gretchenf at sierraclub.ca if you are interested in helping

us at this crucial juncture in our development or if

you would like more information.
