Water Conservation Workshop: “Native Plants and Trees as Water Filters”

Saturday May 23 at 9am

This workshop is all about Nature's Solution to Pollution.

Guest speaker Geoffrey Ritchie, author of Trees of Knowledge and David Smith
of Save a Plant will come to speak about native tree and plants species and
their capacities as water filters. We will take a perspective to land
development and management methods that works with the natural watershed
formation of an area. In the afternoon we will get outdoors to see the
filtering qualities of these plant species and participants will take part
in a hands-on activity of tree planting.

Workshop registration is FREE, bring your own lunch and arrived dressed in
comfortable clothing. We will be spending most of the day outdoors. We
suggest that you bring your workgloves, rubberboots, camera, natural bug
repellent, sun screen/hat and your notepad & pencil.
