WHO?
Mr. Herlindo Hernandez Pu is a coffee and macadamia nut farmer from the San
Salvador Xolwitz cooperative in Retalhuleu, Guatemala. He is with the
Campesino Committee of the Highlands (CCDA) in Guatemala.

WHAT?
A new film, Madre Tierra, highlights the work of the CCDA
For centuries, the distribution of land has been at the centre of
Guatemala's violent story. Guatemala has the worst land distribution in the
Americas, and campesino farmers struggling to feed their families are facing
greater obstacles to gaining access to a plot of land. "Madre Tierra"
follows one campesino organization, the Campesino Committee of the highlands
(CCDA), as they push for getting land into the hands of campesino families.
