Sorry of this makes a double post, but in the mailing back and forth,
joining and confirming, I just wanted to make sure that you got this:

Send-Off to Copenhagen!
Climate Rally and Information Night

Date & Time: Thursday, December 10, 2009 - 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Location: Quality Inn Halifax Airport Hotel
60 Sky Blvd, Goffs, Nova Scotia(Map)
Contact and RSVP: Marlene Wells (marlene.wells at gmail.com )

Come out and send a clear message to the Canadian government that YOU expect
strong climate leadership.
Elizabeth May will be on a flight lay-over on her way to Copenhagen on
December 10th. Please come to a gathering of socially conscious people from
all over Nova Scotia at 7:30 in Salon 200, Airport Hotel, Halifax.

"Canada still has time to redeem our international reputation at
Copenhagen, positioning us well for the spring G-8 and G-20 meetings.
Leadership in this context requires matching the targets of the most
progressive provincial governments in Canada and negotiating in a
cooperative manner with other nations."
“The House [of Commons] has expressed its will in the Bloc Québécois motion
passed this week [November 25th]. The Prime Minister [now attending the
Copenhagen Conference] should represent all Canadians and put forward the
view of the majority of Canadians and the majority of Parliamentarians --
not just that of his minority government,”

~Green Party of Canada Leader, Elizabeth May.

YOUR participation at this event will help to ensure that the Canadian
government is forced to become a climate leader, not remain an international
embarrassment. Please write a letter containing your concerns and bring it
along! Halifax to Copenhagen is a long ways; Elizabeth can read your
thoughts and she will hand deliver the letters to Prime Minister Harper at
the Copenhagen Conference.

John Percy, Leader, Green Party of Nova Scotia, will be attending the event
and will introduce the Guest Speaker. As well, representatives from, the
Office of the Premier of Nova Scotia and the Opposition will attend this
event. They are also writing letters to be delivered to the Conference in
Copenhagen.

Please recruit your friends, family, co-workers, and classmates to come
out! The more the merrier! There will be Tea and Coffee available.
Please RSVP to Marlene Wells (marlene.wells at gmail.com).
