Do you have a skill from a less technological time, that uses hands instead
of electricity? A skill that might seem unusual but that could reduce our
reliance on fossil fuels, or help recycle, preserve, or produce locally?
I'll be teaching urban foraging, hand sewing and composting toilet systems.
Other course ideas could include food growing and storage, propagation, tool
sharpening, home repair, DIY insulation, basic construction, sustainable
building matierials, dehydrating, fish cleaning, first aid, making your own
clothes, canning, basket weaving, orienteering, hosting, conflict
resolution, first aid, spinning, knitting, companion planting, leather work,
brewing, bicycle repair, recycled tire sandal making, but the possibilities
are endless!
Please respond if you are located within HRM and can travel to downtown
Halifax.
