Conservation Coordinator ? Endangered Species

Duties and Responsibilities
The Conservation Coordinator ? Endangered Species is expected to carry  
out a range of conservation work associated with (but not limited to)  
the prioritization, acquisition, communication about, and management  
of properties with species at risk.

This work will be dynamic, and will include all elements of program  
coordination and management including: promoting the Endangered  
Species project through education and outreach, GIS-based  
prioritization to identify key properties for securement, working with  
species at risk recovery teams, decision making and developing  
strategies to advance the project, preparing communications and  
educational materials about private land conservation and species at  
risk, liaising with landowners, site visits to priority properties,  
and volunteer program planning and management. The Conservation  
Coordinator is expected to work ?across projects? alongside other  
Conservation Coordinators and with a high degree of autonomy.

Deadline for applications:  Sunday December 5th, 2010. Note: we are  
hoping to carry out interviews within a few days of the deadline for  
applications and that the successful applicant will be able to start  
work immediately after the interview. We want to allow time for an  
overlap with the present employee.
