Summer Farm Flicks
Next showing is Saturday July 26th
Feature Film is Forbidden Forest
FORBIDDEN FOREST, a feature length documentary of celebrated Nova Scotia film producer Kent Martin, will be shown barnside at Windhorse Farm on Saturday, July 16th. Grab your lawn chair for an 8:30 pm outdoor showing of this engaging tale of an unlikely pair of men who are so passionate about forests, people and their communities that they go head to head with a large multi-national and the New Brunswick government, in support of a community-based forestry policy that is better for the environment and local economies.
A Free Will Offering will be taken at the door; proceeds will go to the Windhorse Education Foundation. This is the second of three films being shown in the summer Farm Flicks series being hosted by Windhorse Farm and BALLE, Building Alliance for Local Living Economies.
Please arrive at 8:00p.m. on the day of the screening; rain or shine! Films will start at 8:30 at the Sunshine House barn. Dress appropriately for the outdoor screening and bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
Windhorse Farm is just 10 km outside of Bridgewater on Wentzall Lake. For more information call the Farm at 543-6955, or visit windhorsefarm.org
