Calling all ACAP Cape Breton Staff, Volunteers & Supporters: Reunion & AGM
June 7th in Sydney

 

Sydney, NS - ACAP Cape Breton is celebrating 20 years as all Cape Bretoners
should - with a great big get-together! Everyone is welcome to the ACAP CB
Annual General Meeting and Reunion on Thursday, June 7th at 7:00 pm at 582
George Street in Sydney. 

 

Cape Breton's environmental organization is inviting past and present staff,
volunteers and supporters to their annual general meeting for both business
and pleasure. "It's amazing how many people have come through ACAP Cape
Breton's doors over the twenty years," notes Susan King, Executive Director
at ACAP Cape Breton. "We hope that many of these staff, volunteers and
supporters join us to catch up and share their stories about ACAP." The
evening event will be packed with updates, entertainment and a photographic
tour of its 20 years. 

 

Kicking off the evening at 6:30 pm, Heartwood Slacks will provide musical
entertainment. During the meeting, there will be a presentation of the first
ACAP Cape Breton and CBRM Water Utility 'Tap In To Your Education' bursary
winner. There will also be the sneak peek of the CBRM Wastewater education
videos "The Solution to Water Pollution". 

                                                                          

Immediately after the meeting, there will be a group photo in front of the
Centre at 8:00 pm. This Anniversary group photo taken with everyone present
will mark this special ACAP Cape Breton reunion. Following the photograph,
there will be more music and tasty snacks as everyone is welcome to network,
catch up and share their favorite ACAP memory.

take place at ACAP CB's Centre for Sustainable Communities at 582 George
Street, Sydney. This event is part of ACAP Cape Breton's Environment Week
celebrations.

                

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Atlantic Coastal Action Program (ACAP)
Cape Breton is a non-profit, charitable community organization. This dynamic
group integrates environmental, social and economic factors into projects
focusing on action, education and ecosystem planning.
