JULY 13,14: Hands-on chainsaw course, open to all
 From maintenance and safety through directional felling with 
certified instructor Patrick Allan. Course limited to six. Saturday, 
9 am, basics of safe operation and maintenance, through bucking and 
limbing. Sunday, a day of directional felling and review. Small 
classes assure plenty of hands-on opportunities to become comfortable 
using a chainsaw.

Bring your own steel-toed boots (and your own saw if you have one and 
wish to bring it). All other safety equipment can be provided, 
although again, bring your own gear if you wish.

$250 covers tuition, meals and snacks, shared cabin (bring sleeping 
bag or request bedding). Arrive Friday evening if that is easier, for 
additional $25 (bunk and breakfast). Registration closes May 31 for 
Women Only; June 28 for Open workshop. Payment at time of 
registration.
