Dieppe, August 12th 2014 : The Really Local Harvest Co-op is launching a new online cooking show entitled Chef Bon Temp’s Pas d’trouble Cooking (no prob. cooking). The first episode will be launched online on Thursday August 13th at the peak of the fresh products season and just in time for the annual Acadian celebrations.

 

The general public is increasingly interested in local food but often lacks ideas on how to prepare it.  Instead of recruiting a chef-ambassador to promote the region’s products, the Really Local Harvest Co-op thought that it would be more tasteful to concoct one out of the region’s artistic bounty. According to Really Local Harvest Executive Director Mathieu D’Astous: «Our objective is to create an atypical and dynamic cooking show demonstrating simple ways to enjoy and cook local food ». To make it all happen, the co-op hired actor Philip André Collette, who plays Chef Bon Temps, as well as designer and videographer Pierre S. Blanchard who is filming, editing and directing the series. For Mr. Collette, who is passionate about farming and who has been cultivating garlic for several years: “The idea was to create a humoristic character drawn from cajun chefs inspirations. Chef Bon Temps is the new ambassador for no problem cooking!”. The team is very happy with this first episode that features the creation of a garden vegetable frittata.

 

The general public is invited to view the show on the Really Local Harvest Co-op’s website (reallylocalharvest.com) to find out for themselves how eating fresh and local is «Pas d’trouble ». The team will be filming the second episode over the coming weeks.
