Hi all,

I want to share with you a simple and powerful climate campaign I’m involved in that I think you will love. It’s the Green Ribbon for Climate Action campaign.

Opinion polls consistently tell us the vast majority of people care about the climate. Yet it’s often hard to see this concern as we go about our daily lives. The Green Ribbon campaign is a way to make our shared concern visible at this crucial time in history, as we near the Paris climate negotiations. It is a way to encourage climate conversations and climate action.

The green ribbon stands for caring and concern for the planet’s climate crisis.
The green ribbon stands for an intention to work for climate solutions.
The green ribbon stands for action to limit global warming to a maximum 2 degrees and for climate justice.
Wearing a green ribbon says:
We need strong climate action now. I care about this issue.

The Green Ribbon campaign provides a way to reach out to our communities and to encourage others to make their caring visible too. It can compliment work on other climate-related issues.

At greenribbonforclimate.org <http://greenribbonforclimate.org/> you will find all the tools you need to bring this campaign to your friends and community, and material to inspire you.

The Green Ribbon campaign can help break the silence, isolation and overwhelm that surrounds the climate crisis, and encourage climate conversations and an understanding that this issue needs all of us to step up, and that together, solutions are possible.

Wear and Share is one of our campaign mottos - Wear a Green Ribbon yourself, share some with others and share the campaign.

I want to make climate concern more visible and encourage more people to get involved with climate solutions. I’m going to wear a Green Ribbon and share the campaign with my friends (including you all.) Will you help spread this campaign among your networks?

Thanks for all you do.

Barb Harris
