Position: Field Ambassadors

Organization: Summerhill

Flex-time Contracts – ASAP to December 2015

Rate of Pay: $15 hour

Locations: Halifax Regional Municipality with occasional long distance travel within Nova Scotia

Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings.

We are currently seeking outgoing, energetic and dynamic individuals to join our team as Field Ambassadors for the Rental Properties and Condo’s (RP&C) and Residential Direct Installation of Efficient Products program (RDIEP) in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Employees will work independently in a designated geographical area, with some long distance travel required occasionally. Full paid training will be provided prior to the program start date. Employees will be compensated mileage at a rate of $0.48 per km to cover cost for travel during program hours.

Training & Event Schedule

In-person Training: September 2015

Training Location: Summerhill Halifax Office – 1329 Barrington Street, Suite 201

Hours: Flexible work schedule - Work hours fall between Monday to Saturday, 9am to 9pm and on Sundays on specific request. Full Time – 24-40 hours/week; Part Time – 4-24 hours/week. Scheduling based on demand.

Responsibilities:
• Visit residential homes, rental properties and condos to install energy efficient products
• Actively engage in creating a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers
• Data and Inventory Management
• Commit to fulfilling fluctuating work demands
• Occasional long distance travel (mileage paid)
• Provide education on energy efficiency
• Educating resident about services available from Efficiency Nova Scotia
• Participating in promotional events

Qualifications/Job Requirements:
• Access to a reliable vehicle to use for the duration of the program
• Physically fit and able to remain active for the duration of all shifts
• Have a friendly and professional manner and appearance; comfortable with entering residential homes
• Be comfortable with the installation of various products such as LED light bulbs and energy efficient water measures (full training provided)
• Sales experience is a plus
• Possess a background in environmental field, or have a strong interest in energy conservation
• Outgoing and positive personality
• Detail-oriented, punctual, conscientious, reliable and able to work independently
• Access to a computer with the Internet and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email to complete daily communication
• Ability to use a provided tablet
