We are Great Earth Expeditions - Nova Scotia's adventure tour specialists 

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals for the up-coming 2017 season (May.14th-Oct.31st) 

We provide small group adventure tours to tourists who are visiting Halifax, Nova Scotia. We offer hiking/walking & sea kayaking tours that start in Halifax and tour to such places as: Lunenburg, Bay of Fundy, Peggy's Cove, Eastern Shore, Wentworth Valley, and Cape Breton/Cabot Trail 

This is a great opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and get paid at the same time; yes work can be “FUN.” Our adventure based tours take folks to some of the best hiking trails in Nova Scotia and lesser known spots that make both the clients and guides feel like they have just experienced their very own piece of Nova Scotia. 

Those interested in this opportunity will have to upgrade their license to (Class 4) in order to drive our commercially licensed vehicles. Below is the link to Registry of Motor Vehicle with all the information needed for the upgrade. It consists of a written exam as well as a driving test. Pretty much what you would expect when you first acquired your license: http://www.gov.ns.ca/snsmr/rmv/licence/liupgrad.asp 

Other prerequisites for the tour guide position:
• Previous outdoor guiding or tourism/hospitality experience
• Passion for the outdoors and people
• Willingness to learn about flora, fauna and history of Nova Scotia to share with our clients on our tours
• Punctual
• Trustworthy
• Able to make quick decisions
• 5 years minimum driving experience with clean driving record (Upgrade to Class 4 license will be required for the position)
