August 9: "Exploring the life of the shore"
with environmental educator Sue Penney
The Harrison Lewis Coastal Discovery Centre is pleased to announce that Sue Penney, education coordinator for the Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park, is coming Thomas Raddall provincial park Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, to share her knowledge of seashore life with campers and day-visitors. Sue is a “hands-on teacher” with over 20 years’ experience, who explores field, forest and seaside on and off the job.

The passion she shares with others brings an added dimension to her programs. With a background in Animal Science and an inquiring mind many have explored nature with her as their companion. As coordinator for Project Wild, a Canadian Wildlife Federation program in Nova Scotia, Sue takes on the mission to help people learn how to think, not what to think, about wildlife and the environment.

Come to Thomas Raddall park – Highway 103 Exit 22 – Tuesday, Aug. 9. M eet up at the Day Use parking lot for this exceptional opportunity for all ages to become familiar with life on our shore.
