Good Morning,

We have some exciting events coming up at The Deanery Project in March, and we wanted to keep you up to date. Read on for details, and please share widely within your relevant networks.

Snowshoe Hike & March Open House *free event*
Sunday, March 5th (Hike at 10:30, Open House at 1:00)
If you’ve never taken the time to explore the 4.5km of trails here at The Deanery, or are looking to get some face time with Nova Scotian nature, then join us on Sunday, March 5th for a snowshoe hike. A recent addition to the equipment cupboard at The Deanery are several beautiful new pairs of snowshoes, donated to us by the Eastern Shore Musquodoboit Community Health Board. These snowshoes are always available for your use- however, selection is limited, so if you’re planning on wearing a pair for your trek with us, please send us a message and let us know!

In the afternoon we’ll be hosting our monthly open house, where guests have the opportunity to explore The Deanery grounds, learn a little more about what we do here, and how you can get involved.

Maple Tree Tapping Workshop
Saturday, March 11th (AM class 10:00, PM class 1:30)
Join Horticulturalist Jim Turner in the woods and by the woodstove, learning how, why, and when trees produce sap, how to tap your own trees, and how to cook it up. The whole family is welcome!
