Bicycle Carnival Rolls Into Ship Harbour  

On June 10th The Deanery Project’s annual Bicycle Carnival rolls into Lower Ship Harbour, bringing a full day of cycling-centred festivities to the Eastern Shore.  The event, running throughout the afternoon is dedicated to getting riders of all ages excited about getting off the couch, out of their cars, and onto two wheels to better personal, community, and ecological health. With support from Bicycle NS, the HRM, and numerous cycling shops, performance groups, and eateries, the day, jam packed with crafts, performances, clinics, rides, and art has something for everyone, regardless of age, or cycling experience. 

$5 for children $10 for adults, $25 for families.

Who: Open to all, hosted by The Deanery Project, includes artists, clows, circus performers, musicians, food and goods vendors, and many more.
When: Saturday, June 10th. 12:30-6:00
Where: The Deanery Project, 751 West Ship Harbour Rd. Lower Ship Harbour, NS
Why: As part of HRM’s Bike Week, encouraging active transportation to reduce carbon emissions, get people outside & excited about nature. 

The Deanery Project is an arts and environmental learning centre located on the Eastern Shore. Situated on 25 acres of woodland waterfront The Deanery offers a wide variety of workshops and events throughout the year with an emphasis on topics related to environmental sustainability, community building, artistry, rural living skills, and natural building. The Deanery Project’s facilities, comprised of a main lodge, accomodations for 20, woodland trails, protected waterfront, classrooms, and workshops are also available for rent.
