Position: Fund Development Coordinator
Organization: Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network
Location: Sackville, near Moncton, New Brunswick

Creating meaning and making an impact in the work that you do is central to your ideals. You value the environment enough, not only live in harmony with it, but to do something to protect it; you’ll resonate with the organic principles of health, ecology, fairness and care. As ACORN’s Fund Development Coordinator, these principles will guide your work, and living in Sackville, New Brunswick will allow you to embrace them.

Sackville is a magical and eclectic University town that offers the unexpected. Folks stop in on their way to somewhere, and end up staying a lifetime. A natural cross-roads in the Maritimes, Sackville is home to dozens of nonprofits, entrepreneurs and community-focused programs. The natural beauty of the forests and seaside, fun festivals and cafés, and neighbours that stop to say hello, provides a lifestyle that is worth making a move for.

Since 2000, ACORN has been the key organization for information on organic farming and food in Atlantic Canada. From seed to farmer to consumer, ACORN works to bring the whole picture together — making food choices healthier and more environmentally responsible. As an organisation, we’ve made a significant difference to the environmental and food landscapes in the Atlantic region, but there is a lot more to do.

ACORN’s discrimination-free environment allows as a culture of collaboration and a flexible work environment where you can implement your innovation and knowledge. Our benefit plan includes an organic food option and a self-directed health and well being package. In realising our fund development plan, the Fund Development Coordinator will be supported by and accountable to the Executive Director.

If you’ve graduated within the last four years from an accredited post-secondary program that focused on nonprofit and voluntary sector management, business or marketing, but haven’t found the right fit yet, maybe this opportunity is for you.

Our ideal candidate is:
• Knowledgeable in effective fundraising strategies and techniques for growing nonprofits
• An influencer with the ability to motivate and persuade with tact and diplomacy
• Experienced using and managing CRM databases
• Fluently bilingual in English and French
• Highly motivated and self-directed

If you are excited about this opportunity, submit your resume to admin at acornorganic.org , WITH SALARY EXPECTATIONS, no later than March 29, 2018. While we look forward to receiving applications from qualified candidates, only those identified through the pre-screening process will be contacted for an interview.
