Please find attached a press release and a poster for SeaLight SkyLight Summer Festival this Saturday, September 5th at the Deanery Project.

Alan Syliboy and Lukas Pearse will be joining us again for spectacular animations of Alan’s work. Some images from last year are attached. 
Hope you can help us tell the story of the Deanery's journey to strengthen connections to the land, night skies and oceans, through arts, science and Two-Eyed Seeing.

It will be an extra special gathering in the time of Covid, as we navigate ways to continue our community, environmental and arts work during the pandemic.——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

SeaLight SkyLight Festival – September 5, 2020
Signature Family-Friendly Summer Event, Eastern Shore

SeaLight SkyLight is the Deanery Project's signature summer event, celebrating the land, sea and the night sky on Saturday September 5th 12:30 – 10:00 pm. 
The program is an inspiring mix of music, entertainment, story-telling, demonstrations and educational talks that finishes up with a silent lantern walk to the waterfront. Pre-registration is required and is limited to only 75.

Along with a great lineup of musicians, artists, astronomy talks & activities, the evening will wrap up with spectacular projections and animations by Alan Syliboy and Lukas Pearse, of Alan’s paintings, on the the Deanery’s Solar Wood Kiln. Hope for Wildlife and Halifax Circus will be amoung those on site sharing their work during the day.

2020 marks SeaLight SkyLight’s 6th anniversary, with added twists and flourishes for safely bringing together families and friends in nature, while being mindful of the challenges of Covid-19. Provincial Covid protocols will be in place including mandatory face masks indoors. General admission $25 for ages 16+; $20 Deanery Members; $10 for under 16; & free for children under 6.

Workshop Series
Leading up to SeaLight SkyLight several small group workshops are being offered.

Thursday, September 3
4:00- 5:30: “Lost Words” Water Colour Painting Workshop $12/person.
6:00 - 7:30: EcoArt Installations Workshop $12/person. 

Friday, September 4
3:00 - 6:00 Stained Glass Making Workshop $30/person (materials included). 

Saturday, September 5
9:30- 12:30 Canjo Musical Instrument Making Workshop $25/person. 
11:00 - 12:00 Circus Workshop $12/person. Limit of 10.
10.00 - 11.30 Foraging & Plant Medicinals Workshop $15/person.
