Water Protection Weekend
CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS ON COASTAL CONSERVATION
Weekend Workshop: July 17th - 18th

Join us for a weekend of coastal conservation and community engagement with
water safety and protection! This is a two-day event with an optional
overnight stay; daytime attendance is free.

Potluck dinner, followed by a Beach Bingo scavenger hunt along the
beautiful white sand beach! When the sun sets, we will be screening the
documentary ‘There’s Something in the Water',’ which tackles environmental
racism and water pollution in Nova Scotia. We will also be showing Disney’s
Moana for kids. Evening programming will wrap up at 10:30pm. For those who
stay the night in one of our rustic cabins, hot breakfast will be served
the following morning. This will be followed by conversations and crafts
(fun for all ages!) as we examine water systems, human impacts, and actions
we can take . Participants will have the opportunity to go home with
homemade beeswax wrap, crafts, and prizes.

Indoor screening and programming options are available in case of inclement
weather.
