Hiring: Program Coordinator
Organization: The Gaia Project
Location: Saint John / New Brunswick

The Gaia Project’s Programs Coordinator will work to facilitate and support climate action educational projects in several schools across the province. This position will activate and encourage positive environmental actions and offer rewarding experiences with students and teaching staff. Relevant skills include, but are not limited to, relationships building, experience in educational outreach with youth, and a passion for the environment.

Skills and Experience required:
• Organizational and planning skills, including the ability to prioritize workload and plan and deliver multiple project activities concurrently.
• Interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability work effectively with partners.
• The applicant must be comfortable working with elementary, middle and high school level students.
• A valid class 5 driver's license is required for this position since the successful candidate will have to occasionally travel by car across the province. Having access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.
• The applicant must be comfortable speaking in front of groups as teaching is an integral part of this position.
• Ability to work in a team is essential. The successful candidate will be collaborating with other team members.
• Must bring passion and creativity to their work.

Specific Duties:
• Program Delivery (70%): With support from Gaia’s Program Director, deliver programming to schools on sustainability topics, and distribute posters and other educational resources to schools as needed.
• Development (20%): With Gaia’s team, contribute to the ongoing improvement or existing programs and resources and to the development of new educational offerings.
• Networking (10%): Work with local partners and kinship networks for program delivery and collaboration.
