Position: Climate Project Administrator
Organization: Community Forests International
Location: In-person or remote anywhere in Canada (no more than 4 hours off Atlantic Time). Optional office space in Sackville, New Brunswick. Occasional travel for team retreats in New Brunswick and/or Nova Scotia.
Help protect forests and promote climate justice with Community Forests International by supporting detailed project reporting and administration for a range of federally-funded initiatives including multi-year contracts under the 2 Billion Trees Program and Nature Smart Climate Solutions Fund. The Climate Project Administrator will support the Community Forests team to maintain clear project tracking, management and reporting to partners and funders -- maintaining and building clear communication and trust with our counterparts in support of forests, climate resilience, and community wellbeing in Canada and around the world.
Hours & Term: Flexible part-time or full-time (up to 37.5 hr / week) and 1-year annually renewed contract with indefinite term. Please state your preference for part-time or full-time in your application.
Compensation: A starting salary range of $45,000 - $52,000 negotiable based on experience and pro-rated for part-time. 15 days paid vacation increasing to 20 days paid vacation after three years of service. In addition to observing 12 public holidays, Community Forests also provides two (2) additional floating holidays per year to respect a diversity of cultural observances employees may celebrate. An optional $100 / month health bursary is available and employees are entitled to 12 days of paid sick leave per calendar year, carried forward annually and accruing to a maximum of 24 days available.

Job Description
Community Forests International is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented administrator to join our deeply committed and collaborative team. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our federally-funded forest conservation and climate resilience projects.
The Climate Project Administrator will be responsible for compiling data and writing narrative descriptions of project results and activities to the strict reporting requirements of a number of federally funded projects. They will work in close collaboration with teams across the Community Forests staff and partnered organizations to maintain good relationships with funders and ensure the organization's projects run smoothly. They will coordinate and take minutes at regular project meetings, collect pre-determined information from colleagues and partners for periodic reporting, and communicate with project officers at funding bodies.
The ideal candidate will be motivated to represent the work of Community Forests through clear reports and data, be a well organised administrator, and enjoy upkeeping frequent communication and support for partners and colleagues.
