Position: Executive Director
Organization: Federation of Nova Scotia Woodland Owners
Location: anywhere in Nova Scotia 

The Federation of Nova Scotia Woodland Owners is seeking to hire an Executive Director. The Federation works to protect and promote the interests of private woodlot owners, and does outreach work to encourage good forest stewardship. We operate a substantial certification program for our members, among other services.

The Executive Director reports to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and is responsible for carrying forth policies adopted by the Board. Liaison with other woodlot owner groups is an important part of the Director's role, as is promoting the interests of private woodlot owners with members of the various levels of government.

A diploma or degree in Forestry is desirable but not a requirement. Starting salary will be in the range CAD 55,000 to CAD 68,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. A substantial benefits package is additional.
