DRAMA & SPEECH COMMUNICATION/UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: The University of Waterloo invites 
applications for a tenure-track position in Drama in the Department of 
Drama and Speech Communication beginning July 1, 2002. Based in a 
liberal arts faculty, the Drama programme provides an equal balance 
between courses in drama studies and theatre arts: Theatre History, 
Drama Literature, Theatre Criticism, and Stagecraft, Acting, Directing, 
Designing, and Playwriting. The Department presents 3-4 mainstage 
productions annually, in addition to a dozen student-initiated projects.
The successful candidate must have range enough to work in more than one 
of these areas and can demonstrate a record of strong interpersonal 
skills. A PhD, or an MA/MFA with documented professional theatre 
profile, will be considered. Teaching experience is a considerable 
asset.
