BLYTH FESTIVAL - POSITION AVAILABLE
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The Blyth Festival seeks a Technical Director for the 2002 summer
season.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and
communication
skills.  Experience with all aspects of technical direction is required.
Computer skills are also necessary. The contract will run from 
May 6, 2002-September 8, 2002.

The Blyth Festival will produce a repertory season of 4 main stage
productions and one outdoor show in 2002. Minutes from Lake Huron, Blyth
is
a small and attractive farming community. The festival has excellent
production facilities on site in the "Garage" which features fully
equipped
shops for carpentry, paint, props and wardrobe.

Duties:
Supervise and assist with the construction of scenery for the 2002
season,
including properties, carpentry, paint, sound and lighting. Assist with
scheduling, budgetting and supervision of the production department.
Assist
with maintenance, workshop set-up, changeovers and in-house projects in
consultation with the production manager.
