NOTICE OF GENERAL AUDITIONS FOR THE SHAW FESTIVAL 2003 SEASON 

CITY LOCATION:  TORONTO, ONTARIO 

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2002.  
Actors wishing to audition should submit with a covering note or letter
indicating union status and category applying for, DRAMA or MUSICAL.
These auditions are not open calls.  Only candidates selected from these
resumes will be contacted with an audition date, time and location.

Monday, September 30, 2002 - 10 am - 6 pm  (Equity) 
Wednesday, October 2, 2002 - 10 am - 6 pm (Equity) 
Thursday, October 3, 2002 - 10 am - 6 pm (Equity) 
Saturday, October 5, 2002 - 10 am - 6 pm (Non-Equity) 

MUSICAL AUDITIONS: 

Tuesday, October 2, 2002 - 10 am - 6 pm (Equity) 
Friday, October 4, 2002 - 10 am - 6 pm (Non-Equity) 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Equity Drama - 2 contrasting monologues - your choice 
Non-Equity Drama - 1 monologue - your choice 

Equity Musical - 1 monologue of your choice PLUS 2 contrasting songs,
preferably an up-tempo and a ballad.  At least one song should be a
traditional musical theatre piece - i.e. Gershwin, Porter, Coward,
Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner & Lowe, etc.  The
second song need not be traditional musical theatre - it need not even
be a musical theatre song - but keep in mind that contemporary pop/rock
music and musical scores influenced by pop/rock are not very useful to
us.

Non-Equity Musical - 1 monologue of your choice PLUS 1 song (traditional
musical theatre piece - i.e.. Gershwin, Porter, Coward, Rodgers and
Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner & Lowe, etc.).

An accompanist will be provided but please bring your music.
