Workshops in the Performing Arts and Pi Theatre, proudly present a clowning
workshop with MUMP AND SMOOT (Michael Kennard & John Turner)
This is the first time this internationally acclaimed duo has held a
workshop in Vancouver!

Three-hour Clowning Workshop
Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island
April 10th, 2002, from 1pm to 4pm
$80 per person (maximum 16 participants)
includes GST, a membership to Pi Theatre and WPA, and a clown nose!

"The study of clowning is a form of exploration that can open up and nurture
the vast creative playground of the individual. In this brief introduction
to clowning students will begin to explore their extremities and normalcies
within the unlimited world of their clown. This workshop introduces the
students to some of the fundamental principles of clowning through games,
improvs and guided visualizations, awakening and encouraging a sense of
pleasure, an awareness of the audience, and an honest response to internal
