TAGLARC, the Toronto Association of Gay Lesbian Arts Recreation and
Culture is seeking a director for their Nov, 2003 production of
"Dissolution" (Jonesing), a new play by Kevin Sheard ("Naked Powerplay")
to be presented at Buddies In Bad Times Theatre.
 
Dissolution is a story about an estranged dysfunctional family reunited
through tragic circumstances. This dark drama weaves Greek mythological
themes in a contemporary tale reminiscent of Oedipus, Medea and
Lysistrata. Drug abuse, homosexuality, incest, prostitution and family
power struggle dominate the story.
 
Applicants should be comfortable with this type of material and be
experienced with new play development and will work on a Guest Artist
contract.
