***ADDITIONAL AUDITIONS FOR ROLE OF "UGLY"!*** 

-TUESDAY, MAY 13, 2003-

Doogster Productions and The Drama Workshop Productions announce an
additional audition day for the role of "Ugly" for the Toronto premiere
of  "HONK!" - THE MUSICAL TALE OF THE UGLY DUCKLING

Director: Michael McGinn
Musical Director: Michael Barber

A hit in Britain, "HONK!" won the 2000 Laurence Olivier Award for Best
New Musical, and has spawn several productions throughout Europe and
North America.  Based on the Hans Christian Anderson children's story,
The Ugly Duckling, "HONK!" is an ensemble piece, consisting of 4
female/4 male actors and 4 children, and some actors are required to
play several different parts.

The story requires an "Ugly" who is a strong character actor/singer.

"UGLY":  THE UGLY DUCKLING/20/30'S MALE STRONG TENOR/VULNERABLE,
SENSITIVE WITH INNER STRENGTH/MUST MOVE WELL.

Production Dates:
Rehearsals begin - August 17, 2003
OPENS                    September 10, 2003*
*This production is likely to extend two weeks beyond the presently
scheduled closing date of September 28, to Sunday, October 12, 2003.
