Acting Up Stage Theatre Company Inc.
presents the Canadian Premier of Jonathan Larson's

tick, tick... BOOM!

Director: Mario D'Alimonte
Musical Director: Wayne Gwillim
Artistic Producer: Mitchell Marcus
Venue: The Poor Alex Theatre

Acting Up Stage Theatre Company will be holding auditions for its
inaugural production, the Canadian premier of tick, tick... BOOM!
(written by the late Jonathan Larson, the composer of the hit musical
RENT). tick, tick ... BOOM! is the musical tale of Jonathan Larson's
days as a struggling artist in Soho. It's 1990 and RENT is still six
years away from its Broadway debut. He is on the verge of turning 30 -
faced with life-altering choices and fighting to keep his dreams. His
girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city; his best
friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue; and he's still waiting
tables and trying to write that great American rock musical. With
fourteen songs, ten characters, three actors, and a rock band, tick,
tick... BOOM! comes to life with comedy, song and heartfelt passion
taking you on the playwright/composer's journey that led to the Broadway
blockbuster, RENT.
