Working with Equity - A Seminar for Small Theatres and Members of CAEA
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wednesday, February 25, 2004
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Arts Court (Library)
2 Daly Street, Ottawa ON.

Canadian Actors' Equity Association and the Council for the Arts in
Ottawa are co-hosting a seminar for members of CAEA and small theatre
producers in the Eastern Ontario and Outaouais regions designed to
de-mystify the contracting arrangements for artists who are members of
CAEA working in English language live performance.

CAEA Executive Director Susan Wallace and Business Rep Manager Ken Burns
will discuss the wide variety of contracting arrangements available for
small companies, member-driven co-operatives, and independent producers.

Topics will include the Indie policy, the Fringe Waiver, the Co-op
Guidelines, the Amateur policy, the Guidelines for Benefits and
Fundraisers, as well as standard agreements such as the Independent
Theatre Agreement.

Find out what the myths are and what the realities are of working with
CAEA members and the Association.

Light refreshments and an open Q&A will follow the presentation.
