A senior fundraising position at Theatre Calgary.

Theatre Calgary is the city's largest and oldest professional theatre
company. A not-for-profit charitable society with an annual operating
budget exceeding $5.5 million, Theatre Calgary presents six plays each
season and the Petro-Canada Play Advancement Series to a total audience
exceeding 100,000. 

Theatre Calgary has an immediate opportunity for an energetic team
leader with 3-5 years of experience in a senior fundraising position,
preferably in an arts environment. This full-time position reports
directly to the President and works closely with other senior staff, a
volunteer Board of Directors, volunteers, donors, and sponsors. The
Director of Advancement leads a team of 3 - 5 fundraising professionals
and contractors towards an annual fundraising target exceeding $1
million. 

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications: 

*	A successful track record in fundraising from corporate,
individual donor, and foundation sectors
*	Sound organization and strong writing skills
*	Strong personal initiative and the ability to lead a dynamic
team of fundraising professionals
*	The ability to manage multiple campaigns and special events
*	A strong working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and ideally
the Act! database
*	Experience working with an active volunteer Board of Directors
*	A post-secondary education and AFP membership
*	A passion for, and a commitment to, the not-for-profit sector
and the arts

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Theatre Calgary offers a
