Urgently seeking 2 experienced Equity Stage Managers (1 each) for our two upcoming North American tours of our Dora Award Winning production, Danny - King of the Basement (4 cast - 2 men/2 women +SM). 

Director - Richard Greenblatt
Playwright: David S. Craig

This production is subject to clause 55 (Theatre for Young People) of the ITA. Roseneath pays above scale, commensurate with experience, and works to ensure the best possible conditions for its artists.

Candidates should be comfortable setting/running sound and setting LX, and have excellent people management skills. Touring expertise preferred.

Tour 1: 
Prep week - Dec 13- 20/04
Rehearsal Dates - Dec 21/04 -Jan 11/05
Tour dates: Jan 12- March 20/05

This is a national mainstage tour of Danny. We will be rehearsing in Toronto and travelling to Ottawa, New York State, Michigan, Calgary, Montréal, Saskatoon, Vancouver and Victoria. Most engagements are longer stayovers (1 week +), but some one night stands.

Tour 2: (please note that rehearsals may be shortened slightly to accommodate cast) Prep Week - Feb 28 - Mar 5/05 Rehearsal dates - Mar 7-26/05 
Tour - Mar 28 - Jun 18/05

This tour makes use of the "Theatre in Your Community" project, and is aimed at bringing high quality TYA to arts poor and remote regions of Ontario and beyond. The Tour will leave from Toronto to tour for 3 weeks into schools and communities in North Western Ontario (including North Bay, Sudbury, Manitoulin Island, Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay), then travel onto to Anchorage and Juneau, Alaska (mainstage venues) for 2 weeks before returning to do more schools and communities in Eastern Ontario. The Tour finishes with three TYA festivals (Edmonton, Mississauga and London, ON)in June. This tour involves a lot of driving, and SM's are asked to keep this in mind when applying.

Because both tours involve US dates, only applicants who are legally allowed to work in the US, and have an up to date passport will be considered.
