THE SHAKESPEARE CENTRE
PRESENTS
AN INTRODUCTION TO VOICE WORKSHOP
WITH
Trish Allen

As a Voice teacher, I think of The Voice as the entire being - the
expression of self. The voice is rooted in the body and therefore free
expression is affected by all blocks: physical, mental and emotional. I
have developed my work to facilitate students in exploring the breath,
the sound and themselves in a non-invasive way, thereby allowing them to
embrace possibilities that would not have ordinarily occurred to them.

WORKSHOP OUTLINE

10 AM - 11:00 Basic Voice Work and Warm-up - breath work, basic physical

4. MUSICAL AUDITION WORKSHOP - TORONTO
------------------------------------------------------------
The NAIL your MUSICAL AUDITION Workshop

FEBRUARY 19th, 2005
Morning Class - 9AM to 1PM
Afternoon Class - 2PM to 6PM

Theatre Cares presents a professional development workshop with Mark
Camilleri and Tracey Flye.

THE FOCUS
This workshop is designed for professionals or those entering the
profession. It is not for the beginner singer or performer.

The focus of this four hour class is to fine-tune and develop a new
musical audition piece. The class will begin with a short physical and
vocal warm-up. Each singer / dancer /actor will then have the
opportunity to present the piece of their choice and have approximately
15-20 minutes to work though with Ms. Flye and Mr. Camilleri, one on
one, breaking it down, adding movement and/ staging if necessary, and
streamlining the presentation. The class will not focus on learning to
sing the piece but actually shaping it for an audition so it is strongly
recommended the participants be very familiar with the music when they
arrive. This format will allow the participants the benefit of feedback
from their peers and the opportunity to tryout the material in a safe
environment with a director and musical director. Enrolment will be
limited to approximately 12-14 per class.

THE LOCATION
Randolph Academy of the Performing Arts, 736 Bathurst St., Toronto

TRACEY FLYE (Director / Choreographer)
