CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - TORONTO
----------------------------------------------
Studio 180 (The Laramie Project) is calling for Male and Female Actor
submissions for its Canadian Premiere production of Robin Soans' The
Arab-Israeli Cookbook, playing at The Berkeley Street Theatre Upstairs
in Toronto, March 2006, directed by Joel Greenberg.

Female - to play a variety of roles ranging in age from 40s to 60s

Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to apply.

The Arab-Israeli Cookbook is a drama created from the everyday realities
of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In a research trip to Palestine
and Israel, writer Robin Soans and directors Rima Brihi and Tim Roseman
met and interviewed more than 80 people drawn from the widest possible
background of culture, class and creed, including Jews, Muslims and
Christians. The resultant play presents over 40 characters describing
their daily lives - driving buses, shopping at the market, preparing
meals - amidst the surrounding conflict.

Rehearsals are tentatively scheduled to begin January 30, 2006. Public
performances are tentatively scheduled to begin March 3, 2006, and run
to April 1, 2006.
