CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - FRINGE - AUDITION AND STAGE MANAGER - EDMONTON
------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------
Under the Knife Collective is producing The Singing
Blade by Timothy J. Anderson for the Edmonton Fringe,
opening August 18. Set in 1770 Italy, it is the story
of the famous castrato Guadagni (Timothy J. Anderson)
and his pupil Cherubin (Laura Raboud) who are haunted
by the lecherous/religious ghost of Queen Kristina of
Sweden (Marie Nychka).

Looking for an ACTOR to play

FOUCAULT - the ambassador sent by the King of France
to entice Guadagni to the French court. Note: the
ambassador does NOT have to be caucasian, will be written/reworked to
suit. Because gender politics are integral to the show, the role must
be played as male but any actresses interested in playing the part
shouldn't hesitate to express an interest. Comfort with French is a plus
but not necessary.

Also seeking a STAGE MANAGER.

Rehearsals in Edmonton, casual at first then going
into high gear end of July. If you are from outside
the Edmonton area, we have a room.

Please contact Timothy at desperate_pilgrims at yahoo.ca
or call him at 780 497 2693.

Previous Fringe shows by the same author: Sterling
nominations for "The Fourth Tenor" and "The
Favourite", sold-out houses for "Caruso Got There
First", "Domestic Blast" and "A Voice From Home", good attendance/media
for "Farelinelli" and "Strafe"

Equity members participating in this production will be signed to a
Fringe waiver and all net proceeds from the production
will be divided equally among the participants.
