JOB - INSTRUCTOR - ACADIA UNIVERSITY

The Department of English (Theatre Studies) seeks an individual to teach
Thea 1013 Acting and Performance 1, Thea 2883, History of the Drama and
Theatre: The Beginnings to the Western Renaissance, and to direct the
student production of the Acadia Theatre Company. The appointment would
begin on 15 August 2006 and end on 31 December 2006. The stipend will be
$4,200 per course, a total of $12,600.00. Applicants should submit their

The successful candidate should have an M.F.A. or its equivalent. Please
submit your CV, copies of transcripts, official teaching evaluations if
you have them, the names of three references, and a covering letter
explaining your suitability for the position. Candidates should send
also a one-page directing proposal explaining their rationale for the
choice of a play suitable for a flexible black box space with limited
production support. Gender appropriate casting is an important criterion
for play selection. Some explanation of rehearsal process would be of
additional interest.
