JOB - INSTRUCTOR - CORNER BROOK

Sir Wilfred Grenfell College is a small (1400 student) liberal arts and
science institution and the Corner Brook Campus of Memorial University
of Newfoundland.  At Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, our emphasis is on a
small-class environment and teaching excellence in distinctive multi-
and interdisciplinary degree programs with four-year Bachelor's degrees
in Arts, Fine Arts, Science and Nursing.

Corner Brook (population 22,000) is a safe and friendly city with
excellent recreation and cultural facilities, situated in an area of
great natural beauty.  The city s some 80 kilometres from Gros Morne
National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and 10 kilometres from
Marble Mountain, one of Eastern Canada's premier downhill ski resorts.

Contractual position commencing August 21, 2006.

Sir Wilfred Grenfell College is seeking candidates for the following
sabbatical replacement position:

Theatre-Acting (8.5 months)

The successful candidate will teach introductory courses in theatre
history, introductory courses in acting and one course in acting at a
level beyond first year.  In addition the candidate will be required to
direct at least one major production for the department of theatre.  An
MFA is required, as is a demonstrated record of professional experience
in the theatre and teaching at the university level.
