CALL FOR SUBMISSION - TORONTO

Theatre PANIK is accepting submissions for the role of Rachel Corrie in
the play MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE, edited by Alan Rickman and Katherine
Viner, playing at the Tarragon Extra Space, Toronto, Ontario.  Directed
by Kate Lushington

Rehearsals Begin:			May 6, 2008
Performances Begin:		May 29, 2008
Closing / End of Engagement:	June 22, 2008, possible extension to
June 29, 2008

This is a solo show gleaned from the actual writings of Rachel Corrie, a
young woman from Olympia, Washington, killed by an Israeli bulldozer in
the Gaza Strip in March 2003.   

The character of Rachel is in her early to mid-twenties - intelligent,
imaginative, passionate, and intensely curious about the world beyond
her doorstep.

Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September
30, 2007.

There are reading copies of the script available at the Metro Reference
Library (Yonge & Bloor) Performing Arts Desk.

Theatre PANIK engages, under the terms of the Independent Theatre
Agreement, professional Artists who are members of Canadian Actors'
Equity Association.  Priority will be given to Equity Artists, but
non-Equity may apply.
