Kaleidoscope Theatre Performing Arts Studio Principal
							
Kaleidoscope Theatre, Vancouver Island's resident professional Theatre
for Young Audiences company is seeking an enthusiastic individual for
the part - time business contract of Kaleidoscope Theatre Performing
Arts Studio Principal.  
 
Kaleidoscope's artistic mission is to create and present original,
innovative and relevant theatre experiences that stimulate and inspire
young people and their communities. Kaleidoscope offers two in-house
productions, one touring production, a Family Concert Series, a Young
Playwrights Competition and Festival, in addition to a variety of
theatre classes through our Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Studio within
an annual budget of approximately $500 000. 

Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Studio offers a full range of professional
theatrical training classes for students age four right up to adult,
with an approximate enrollment upwards of 250.  All of the Studio
faculty members are professionals actively working in the industry.
Offered in the annual programming is a Fall session, Winter / Spring
Session, Spring Camps, Summer Camps, Workshops and Recreational
Programming. 

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for:
-	Researching and developing of the programs & overall
curriculum, including pilot projects
-	Research & oversight of Instructors
-	General administration pertaining to the Studio
-	Acting as public Liaison for Theatre School 
-	Assisting in marketing for these programs
-	Various other duties that assist in furthering the goals of the
Society

The successful candidate will be effective with time management, highly
organized, enthusiastic and outgoing. The successful candidate will
possess strong customer service and public relations skills. Theatrical
training, arts administration and experience teaching and dealing with
kids are an asset.  

This is a part-time sub contractor position with flexible hours and a
time commitment of 12 hours per week. Compensation is $15 per hour.
