BFA Performance (Production) Degree Program
Tenure-Track Position (Rank Open)

Ryerson University is known for innovative programs built on the
integration of theoretical and practically oriented learning. More than
95 undergraduate and graduate programs are distinguished by a
professionally focused curriculum and strong emphasis on excellence in
teaching, research and creative activities. Ryerson is also a leader in
adult learning, with the largest university-based continuing education
school in Canada.

The Ryerson Theatre School invites applications for a tenure-track
position (rank open) for its four-year BFA Performance (Production)
degree program. The successful candidate will possess multidisciplinary
teaching skills applicable to a conservatory-style, academically
rigorous, nationally recognized production program that works in
collaboration with a dance and acting program of equal reputation.
Responsibilities will consist of lecture and lab instruction in
theatrical practice, creative research, and analysis of the creative
process. Applicants must have minimum academic qualifications of an MA
in a relevant field. The successful candidate will also have a
sufficient blend of teaching and professional experience to mentor
students in an informed manner. A demonstrable commitment to research
and creative activity relevant to the field is required, and some
administrative experience is desirable. 

Applicants should submit a cover letter, including a detailed statement
of teaching philosophy and goals, a curriculum vitae with a description
of scholarly interests, and a list of three references, by January 15,
