MAKING A SCENE CONFERENCE - VANCOUVER - NOVEMBER 13-16

The Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance presents its 9th Annual Making a Scene Conference November 13-16, 2008 on Granville Island. 

The Early Bird Registration Fee Deadline is now extended to Wednesday October 22 for Equity Members.

Highlights include artists' workshops with Arne Zaslove (mask and physical theatre) and Marti Maraden (directing master class). Ms. Maraden will also deliver the keynote address entitled 'Bridging Solitudes' on cultural and geographic challenges in Canada, diversity and directing practice and the importance of seeing and respecting each other's work.

There will also be numerous panels including: Understanding Equity, Greening our Art and the Business of Acting in Theatre and Film. 

Ken Burns, Senior Business Representative will be on hand for the 'Understanding Equity' workshop at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 14th.
