Fight Directors Canada is pleased to announce its 16th annual National
Stage Combat Workshop, to be held August 1-16th 2009 at the University
of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario.

Register before April 1st, members of FDC, Actor's Equity and FDC
recognized international Stage Combat organizations receive 30% off (20%
for non-members). Register before July 1st and members receive a 20%
discount (10% for non-members).

Housing is available on the University of Waterloo campus, including
laundry and kitchen facilities.

Stanislavski Toolkit with Hume Baugh

The Basic tools that Stanislavsi believed were necessary to keep an
actor alive on stage will be the subjects of this class. We will
include: Analyzing text for meaning and character, defining objectives,
breaking scenes down into units, choosing compelling and varied actions
and identifying obstacles. Using selected scenes we will look at the
tools that will help you stay active and focused and out of your own way
on stage.
