LAST CALL FOR EQUITY BY-ELECTION NOMINATIONS
-------------------------------------------------------------

The deadline for nominations for candidates in Equity's 2009 Atlantic
and Dance region by-elections is November 19th - and both regions are
still in need of further representation.

See the list of Atlantic nominated candidates at:
http://www.caea.com/EquityWeb/NewsAndEvents/News/2009/2009EquityElection
s/2009Atlantic.aspx

Presently, no nominations for either the Dance Councillor or the Council
Policy Advisory Group (CPAG) seats have been received.

As a national Association, Council places considerable importance on
seeking input from every region within our membership. It is a high
priority that your region does not go silent for the upcoming three-year
term. Council encourages all members interested in playing an active
role in the future of Equity to put that commitment into action and run
for office.

It's not too late to be nominated! Nomination forms are available online
at http://www.caea.com. To beat the deadline you may even fax (to
416-867-9246) or scan and email (to commdir at caea.com) your signed
nomination form.

Equity members may stand for election by being nominated, in writing, by
two other members. The nomination form must be signed by the member, and
by two other members in good standing, and returned to Equity's National
Office by November 19, 2009. You are eligible to run for elected office
if you are a regular member of Equity in good standing, at least 18
years of age and reside in Canada.

By-election voting for the Atlantic and Dance region Councillors and
regional CPAG members for the 2009-2012 term will commence in December
2009.

Equity is dedicated to the election of a Council and CPAGs who represent
the diverse membership of the Association. We embrace diversity and
inclusiveness, and we are committed to the principles of fairness,
transparency and access. Council encourages members of a visible
minority group, Aboriginal peoples, persons with a disability and women
to seek nomination for election.

Additional election resource materials are available online at
http://www.caea.com. Potential candidates may direct any questions to
the Council Renewal Committee through Equity's Communications Director
at 1-800-387-1856 (416-867-9165 in Toronto) or commdir at caea.com.
