Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Sheatre is committed to issues of social equity in all aspects of our
society. Casting descriptions are based on text and audience
demographic. We welcome applications from all competent artists.    

Additional information:
Artistic Director Joan Chandler and Director Simon Malbogat invite
submissions by actors and Theatre Forum Jokers to play in our
award-winning Theatre Forum show about dating violence.

Casting Requirements: 1 male; 1 female; one other.  Strong
improvisational skills required.  Experience with rural / small towns an
asset.  Must be able to pass as teenagers.

Rachel:  age 17, Aboriginal or Metis, experienced, status-seeking,
party-girl- lead character's girlfriend; all actors will be considered.

Warren:  age 18, volatile, controller, sure-of-himself, desirable - lead
character's boyfriend

Joker / Facilitator:  Theatre Forum facilitator, experience required

Audition Instructions for actors: 2 contrasting contemporary monologues
- no longer then 2 minutes each; cold reading and improvisation may be
required.   
Audition Instructions for Joker: forum introduction, intervention
facilitation style
Audition Location: NDH House of Dance, 2207 Harvey Street, Regina
Audition Dates: Wednesday, August 25.
Callbacks Wednesday, August 26.

TYA Tour in southern Saskatchewan and Ontario (Grey-Bruce, Near North
and Toronto).

Rehearsal Dates:  March 14 to April 1, 2011*
Show Dates:  April 4 to June 3, 2011* 
Fall Tour of Saskatchewan - dates to be confirmed
*dates are subject to change

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
